Vintage metal Stake Truck with wooden bed and side panels. This truck has no model or identifying manufacturer marks. It is 2 feet long from the front end to its rear bumper. The red metal cab area is 6" wide and the wooden paneled area is 8" wide. It is almost 9" inches high. As shown in the picture, the red paint is very chipped and/or worn off. I believe the original color was an army green, which is still intact on the trucks underside, wood side rails and its wooden bed. Does anyone know anything about this truck that would steer me in a direction to learn something about it. I have searched the internet for hours and have not seen anything close to resembling it. I appreciate ANY and all info or suggestions . Question- if it were to be re-painted does that take away its monetary value.? Question-If not, then what would be the best kind of paint to use? Thank you. in advance, for your time, knowledge and assistance.
The truck is a Turner. The bed looks to be home made. A proper restoration would help the truck since it's already been painted. It's also missing the headlights. Search Turners trucks for color combinations and maybe find the correct bed. Good Luck.
