I don't know about the base though - possibly a separate mold
I took pictures and created an account to share my fisher boy. I posted him under figurine. I can not locate an Atlantic Mold marking. The prior comment referenced an fisherboy figure that says their is an Atlantic mold marking on the back of his heal. Mine appears unmarked. Any comments on being unmarked? Thank you. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/user/FiddleMando
As Aghcollect mentioned, the base is likely a separate mold or base from the lil fisherman. The "77" is almost undoubtedly the year painted. Somewhere in my attic or my mothers, I have the identical figurine. It was a locally available ceramic cast on the Atlantic east coat of south/central New Jersey. I was 12 right around "77" (1977) when my mother painted and had one fired for me. Mine was just the free standing little fisherman without the base or the lamp. If I come across it in the near future, I'll try to post a pic. I apologize that Im unable to aid in the valuation or the mold maker but I remember mom picking him out on the shelf as a white unpainted ceramic amongst several others that the ceramic shop had for sale.
