This Overland half gallon oil can was produced specifically for Overland and Willys-Knight autos. the Overland auto was founded in 1903 by Claude Cox in Terre Haute, Indiana. Overland was sold to John North Willys in 1908 who eventually moved the operations to Toledo, Ohio. In 1912, it was renamed Willys-Overland. Willys continued to build Overland autos until 1926. The Willys-Knight started to be produced in 1914. Since Overland and Willys-Knight are the two models mentioned on the side on this can, it helps date it around 1914-1919. This is the only can I have seen, and it is a little rough. The car and other graphics on the side of the can are pretty cool.
This is a AWESOME can!!!!!!
