Just picked this up this weekend for very little. I HAD to have it as it had a Fratelli Toso label on it. What could be better....LOL.
Size is about:
9.75 inches long, about 8.50 inches wide, and about 3 inches tall at tallest points (the ends).
The bottom was a bit of a concern for me as it appeared to be a bit different than other bowls I have (even with a label on it). I was hoping it was NOT a marriage of sorts. Anita of San Marcos Art Glass confirmed it was a true piece of Murano Art Glass by the company of FT.
Now I can rest, and put it away in the China Cabinet....as I still unpack other boxes here yet. LOL....
Just passing this on from another Glass (John) person for his knowledge on the base of these types: [ quoted ]
"" Another of these bowls is shown in Leslie Pina's book on FT, page 165, she describes them as having a 'cloud like pattern' which seems appropriate...""
Oh hey, that's a very nice surprise then. Glad it wasn't a marriage...could have ended in divorce! haha... This is a very pretty piece. I love the gold specks, makes it spark!
