I also got to go though a huge box of jewelry today at Salvation. There were tons of necklaces, pins, watches and ear rings. I picked out a few pieces I thought had merit. This tiny little Navarre gold plated bangle watch seemed very nice. It's marked Gold Filled "6" with a castle mark followed by "10" microns. So basically thinly plated but it's not worn at all. The watch cover and band have tiny gold butterflies on a black enamel background. Unfortunately the winding crown and maybe the stem are missing. I'm not sure if it would be cost effective to have it repaired. Depends on it's value but I'd like to see it running again. Still makes a nice bracelet though. -Mike-

My sister came to visit from New Jersey just before the holidays and I showed her a couple of watches I had including this one. They all needed repair and she told me , "Oh I have a watch maker/jeweler friend that can repair these for you." So off to Jersey they went. The one he repaired while she waited. This one would take a couple weeks. I was also told it was a very nice piece although not solid gold which I already knew, but it was great to get a jeweler's opinion. So it was worth getting it repaired and have the movement checked out as well. Can't wait till the package arrives in the mail ! Should be soon. -Mike-
