I purchased this pair of figurines last year and decided to finally take some pictures to post. They depict 2 female figures with naked torso, child and cactus. They were made by Ercole Barovier circa 1933 and are part of his Motherhood series. The bodies, feet and cactus are made in lattimo glass and gold, and the gowns in opaque green and blue with gold leaf finish. Although my wife doesn't like them due to their lack of features, I'm attracted to them for that very reason. I just love the simplicity of early figural pieces. These pieces are documented in "Art of the Barovier, Glass Makers in Murano 1866-1972", Fig. 97, Page 124.
Thanks for sharing this great pieces by Barovier!
