I acquired this neat little brooch recently and don't know who might have made it or when. It appears to be sterling and rhinestone and measures 7/8" on one side, has a C-clasp, stones appear pave set and has a jewelrs number on the back.

Any ideas anyone? Where could I find information about it?

The only thing I would say about the numbers it could be how many were made. The c- clasp in my opinion makes it is Victorian, I'm not sure if they used rhinestones in the Victorian era, the stones could be paste. Just a few suggestions.
