We got this old Mail Letter Box from a gas Pump/Sign collector and I have wanted one of these small wall mount letter boxes for decades. These are cast iron and weigh a lot and this one has beautiful patina that tells a zillion stories of the olden days. It may have experienced both World Wars, but surely the Second one as I can remember them from when I was a kid during WW II. Seems like we still had penny postcards in those days if I remember right. In any even this one is found on the end of our antique Texaco Station thwt advertises gas for $.24/gal, which was high priced in those days.
