These earrings are from a friends great aunt, who is close to 90. I have no idea how old they are, but would really like to know more if anyone can help identify the approximate era they come from!

Hi! These look like quality costume jewelry (even the detail on the back is so nice). They look 40's or 50's to me. Did you look them over for a mark?
Hi Jewels!
thanks so much for replying! I could not find a makers mark or logo of any kind, but the clip part has an eye shaped design with a line through it, if that means anything. I don't know where vintage ends and antique begins, but your guess as to age will give me a starting point. Thanks so much for the feedback!!!

Hi jenny! I bet that mark does mean something, just what, I don't know :) such quality here...hope somebody reads this and knows what that mark is, I tried searching, but didn't see anything.
Thank you Nuts! I agree these are a treasure with their intricate details. I live in what is referred the "Lost Pines of Texas....and tragically many were lost in the wildfires 3 years ago, so the pinecone and conifer branch are special to me. Thanks for your comment!

I can see some similarities with my posting. The backing looks close and the way the beads a strung on it look close, too. I have seen earrings with this backing made in Germany but also made in the States. Miriam Haskell has some jewelry with a similar back. I believe that she didn't always put her mark on her jewelry before the 1950's and therefore there are pieces out there unmarked.

Research "vintage gold Mexican arracadas." These look like a strange hybrid of mid-century costume and vintage gold arracadas to me.
