This is a "Beetle Bailey" wooden bingo chest with brass hinges, hasp, handle, and studs all along both side edges. - It is solid wood and features a section inside for holding two bottles of bingo card inkers. The outside features Bingo card graphics all over along with characters from the Beetle Bailey comic strip; a "Sgt. Snorkel" on the front, "Killer Diller" on the right side (who would have known he was bald without his helmet on), "Squawmamma" (somewhat racist) on the back, and on the left side a red-haired fellow I could not match a Beetle Bailey character to but he actually resembles "Archie". - The chest measures 8" long by 5 1/4" wide by about 6" high (with handle) / circa unknown
** Beetle Bailey (first September 4, 1950) is an American comic strip created by cartoonist Mort Walker. Set in a fictional United States Army military post, it is among the oldest comic strips still being produced by the original creator.
