Arrow Electric Ball Clock manufactured circa 1978 by the Arrow Handicraft Corporation.
The clock works by using steel ball bearings to indicate the exact time. There are three main rails which are numbered for hours (bottom rail) and minutes (center & top rails). The first photo shows the time as 12:59. An electric motor rotates a scoop arm that picks up a ball bearing every minute and deposits it on the top rail. Every five minutes, the top rail will dump and deposit a ball on the second rail. Every hour, the upper & middle rails dump, and one ball is transferred to the bottom rail to increment the hours. At 1:00 all three rails release all the ball bearings to the feed rail at the bottom. This is a very noisy timepiece.
    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

Alan, there is a clear plastic cover that goes over this clock and it measures approximately 10 inches long, 8 inches high & 6 inches deep. I have had mine for many years, but occasionally see them on eBay. I also remember seeing someone recently manufacturing similar ones, just google Arrow Electric Ball Clock and check.
      Thanks for showing your appreciation.

Hi. I have one of these from my grandfather. I’d like to use it again but the motor (arm that moves the balls) has lost power and can’t lift the balls anymore. Would anyone know where I could get a new one??? Thank you!!

A cousin of mine had one of these 'back in the day' pw-collector, and I was always fascinated by it though never ending up with one of my own. I also seem to remember that they were sold at SPENCER GIFTS stores at 'the mall' (if not other places too?) back then...? :-)

      AnythingObscure, mine was a gift.
One has to be a very deep sleeper if one wants to keep this one running, or put it in the basement recreation room.
