      Really nice pick petty9650 -- nice standard flat-top trunk from around early 1900's. Has some nice fingering on the ridges and the end slats have been nicely wrapped with tin. A quality trunk of its type. Lots of companies made these with similar parts like locks etc. so very hard without a label to know who made yours. This will refinish quite nicely even though it is a little weather worn.. I would use a darker type stain to offset the weathering. Thanks for the post and welcome to Collectors Weekly!

      Wow!! Nice one--and what a great find. It looks really solid still, so it should refinished beautifully. Very lucky find indeed!!
