Another one of my leather top hat cases. I actually can't remember where I acquired this one from. But, I do know I didn't have to pay much for it. This one is made by Collins & Fairbanks of Boston. The gentleman's initials "HDG" are on the side of the case as well as inside the hat. The hat is not in very good condition (moths may have attacked it at one time or another). But, I thought it was still a really cool item. Again, these are not my area of expertise. So, if anyone has any information on the age or origin, I'd truly appreciate it. I'm open to anyone's mystery solving here.

I guess that gentleman never got back with you regarding your hats? I thought he would be very excited to see yours...it didn't seem that he had anything as nice as yours on his website...

Jewels, no he never did get back with me. But, I did contact a gentleman by the name of Jean-Pierre Bal, in France, regarding my French made hat trunk and he and I chatted back and fourth. He was able to identify my French hat trunk and tell me when it was made. Still waiting to hear back from the Vintage-Toppers gentleman. Thanks for checking. Scott

Thanks pops! I'll post them the first chance I get. One of them is the BMWCCA silver anniversary edition of the BMW 2002. I've never taken it out of it's display case. I'll have to dig it out from one of our closets.
