    Found these glass shades, appear to be to old gas/ oil lanterns. Anyone ever seen anything like them before?

      These look like "guy stuff" - but I'd guess some sort of dispenser/tank apparatus - threaded and open and both ends right? -- I'm lost here...

      Yes, I have one like that, but don't know where it is right now. The lady I bought it from said it was for trapping flying insects like wasp, by having some solution in the jar to attract them.They crawl in and can't get out and drown in the liquid inside. Mine has only one cap, so if your cap with the tube on it is hollow, this may be the way the get in. You might try to Google wasp trap . Just looked at the new style wasp traps ... so don't know if this is actually a wasp trap. Good luck with finding an answer. Lafay

      wasp trap huh? Somebody else mentioned it could be for pesticide, I guess it could be but I still don't see it, the metal tubing looks like it would have transfered gas or something. Thanks though
