I picked these cups up at a thrift store. Does anyone know what these are used for? Can someone make out what the words say because I can not. Also the saucers are stuck to the cups. Any reason why?

Soft boiled eggs are still a popular breakfast item in Europe. The attached saucer is to put your “toasted soldiers” on ( strips of toast) for dunking in your egg

Yes we use these in Europe for eggs, both soft and hardboiled. The little saucer is very useful for the pieces of eggshells when you peal the egg. The toast might be a french thing?

The toasted soldiers is a British thing, I’m from there
