This is a new addition to my lonely Imperial blue lustre vase I have had for a while. This orange piece is a fantastic addition. This new piece was sitting in a dark drawing room for the last 30 years amongst antique Rookwood. In the back of the case sight unseen. This is from my collector friend who was an avid collector of everything Antique. I would like to know the shape number. Many thanks for looking
hope your thanksgiving was nice ,miss you
Lee, lovely vases! I wanted to point out that I believe they are actually not Freehand, but are Lead Luster vases. It can be confusing trying to tell them apart, but there is an excellent website that details the differences. I believe your newest vase is shown on this page: https://sites.google.com/a/imperialartglass.com/www/iii-design-motifs-1 and your blue vase is also a classic Lead Luster shape.
Michelle, you are correct. And I had a brain fart. Changing the posting. Many thanks my friend!!
Sure thing! :)
Lee, The orange piece is actually a candlestick., shape #319, color #20. The blue vase is shape #619, color #30. The ImperialArtGlass.com website is my creation. Ernie
Ernie, that is one heck of a great website - it has the best Imperial information that I know of. You did a great job on it - thank you! :)
Thanks very much Michelle
Lee,
I'd like to add a picture of the orange candlestick to my ImperialArtGlass.com website. If you can provide a better quality photo of just the candlestick, it would be appreciated. You could send it to :elamaa@netzero.net Thanks in advance. Ernie
A photo angled like the first pic above would be best, i.e. you can see in top interior as well as the exterior.
Ernie, I would be honoured. I will take another pic this weekend or wen tomorrow. And post it for u on here. Thank you !
Lee
Thanks Lee, the Lead Lustre candlestick is not often found - I have only seen a handful. My website shows three different decors in this shape; your example is the fourth. I think (but am not positive) that Imperial made six decors in total. If you want me to give attribution (from the collection of . . . ), please provide me with the name you want used. Ernie
Ernie, here are your pics that u requested. Many thanks
Lee
Thanks Lee
Pretty...and that's a great reference site michelleb007 linked to. Thanks.
