I recently picked these up at an incredible bargain, because the person selling them thought they were jewelry cases. But, back in the 1800's and early 1900's when men traveled, they carried their shirt collars in these leather boxes to keep them from being crushed during travel. (The last picture is just an example of how the shirt collars were carried).
Anyway, I thought they'd make a nice addition to my antique trunk and hat trunk collection. I just thought I'd show them off.
Thanks for looking!!

Thanks Jewels!!!
stunning!!!
Thank you Sean!!!
Cool and I just learned something new!!!! Very nice...
Thanks Tman!! To be honest, I didn't know what these were used for until about a year ago. Makes you kinda glad our collars are sewn onto our shirts today. That would make for a lot of extra carry-on baggage if they weren't!!
Thanks everyone for the loves!!
