Please help me find some information on this item. I have searched with no success, it is a "Kellogg, Switchboard Supply Co., Chicago U.S.A" on the tag. The metal box is approx 3.5in. X 5in., quite heavy and has a bracket attached. The handset is attached and has Kellogg, Switchboard Supply Co., Chicago U.S.A stamped into the mouthpiece. The real stumper for me is the box, I can not find anything on it or comparable to it. I have attached a pic of the front view, the other is the top view. If I remove the screw on top there is nothing but the screw-hole underneath it.
Your non-dial Kellogg wall phone is referred to as a select-o-phone. it took up very little space in a garage or side of a desk. Other manufactures like Automatic Electric, Western Electric, Stromberg-Carlson call there similar sets space maker or space saver. The space maker manufactured by Automatic Electric from 1938 to 1982. the Kellogg looks to be manufactured before 1958, because most manufactures changed over to plastic on this type of phone.
ttomtucker,
It must be a rare item as I can't find one online anywhere.
Thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated!!
