I thought this was a really nice pepper mill when I first spied it on the shelf at Salvation Army this morning. On closer inspection I read what was written on the gold band... "Made on the third planet from the Sun-U.S.A.- W.E. Bounds Associates Manhattan Beach Calif. I laughed and thought to myself.... that is so cool ! It's a great design and done in a wonderful gold metallic finish on a plastic body. The top opens for filling with salt and if you remove the upper section you can fill the bottom with pepper corns. There are three settings for coarse, medium, and fine. An online search found two, one was green the other gold and they were being described as Eames style and dating from around 1965. I think it's a bit later myself because their website states they have only been in business for over 40 years. -Mike-
