This nice 6' Conoco sign came from a good friend and collector up in Idaho and we happend to have an extra Conoco sign frame and pole to put it in so we bought it and stood it up along with the Marathon Man sign in a new row of signs we are beginning to put up. We love the vibrant red on this old sign as it somehow escaped the normal fading that most Conoco signs experience after years of dealing with the hot Utah Summers and intense heat for up to 15 hrs a day.
We had salvaged the sign frame from a junk yard and bought the pole from another friend in East Idaho and finally got all three together and stood them up! We love it when we finally get to stand them. Digging those 7' deep footings is pain and then putting all the steel and bolts in them just adds to the nuisance. Then we have to wait 10 days for the cement to cure enough to stand the poles. At last it's up!!!! Come see it along with a lot of other awesome signs at aaaLakeside Storage in Provo, Ut.
