I am in LOVE! This is Cissette, I just found her in a really really old box. I believe she is from around the 50's. She is about 9" has bendable legs, her eyes open and close. Does anyone know more about this doll? I have looked online and haven't found anything specific about her and would love to find out more.
Made By Madame Alexander
1957-1963 Alexander Cissette doll, 10" tall, hard plastic, sleep eyes, jointed at neck, shoulders, hips, and knees, high heel feet, dressed in #900 basic doll in a chemise. Dating her
Eyelids: 1957 dolls have beige eyelids, in 1958 they were pale pink and thereafter were peach.
Wigs: 1957 and ’58 wigs were made with three rows of stitching; after that they used zigzag stitching. A few fancy wigs had three rows on some later dolls.
Fingernails: had polish starting sometime in 1961.***************** note nail polish on yours
Eye weights: dolls from 1957 and part of ’58 had heavy weights on their sleep eyes. Smaller weights were used thereafter.
Clothing: Dresses in 1957 and ’58 had bodice darts; in 1959, they did not. Thereafter bodice darts were only used for evening wear.

Oh I forgot to add your doll is from the 60's .
I am going to ask if there is a tag in her dress ? The more I look she may be a re -issue of cissette as a portrait doll. If I could feel the weight of her it would help newer are lighter in weight than the vintage one's .
Thank you for all the info. She was found in a box of toys from a woman who passed away. Other items in the box were dated anywhere from 1955-1971, '71 is the year she graduated high school so it stands good reason Cissette is from the 60's, being that would be about the age of doll play for this lady. She does have a tag in her dress, that is how I knew her name. What does the tag indicate?
I just weighed her, she is 5oz.
Madame Alexander always tagged clothes and put name on tag also would often add name of character she was dressed as . Can you photo Tag that would help :-)
Thanks the tag is made like the the 60's tag :-)) It did change a bit over the years . She is not a representing any character in that dress so it is a go to a Prom Dress I guess :-) Very beautiful .
Here is one with similar dress and same hairdo . Yours hair would have looked like this . I can't find a photo of your dress to show you, but you can watch this one I posted and see where it closes at price . Gowns are always loved by Cissette collectors and yours is much nicer dress.
