I bought these a few years back for $10.00. The only thing I know about them is that they are French made (as I believe a lot of them were). They appear to be brass coated with a glossy black finish and leather wrapped. They are in fairly nice condition, other than the carrying strap missing on the case. They work great! 1900 era perhaps? Maybe someone could help out in identifying these. I'd appreciate anyone's expertise input very much. I have another pair that have what appears to be Mother of Pearl on them, instead of being leather wrapped.
"CHEVALIER" and "PARIS" is written on the eye piece. I see no writing on the case, but
I'll need to check them a little closer to see. I'll let you know.
PatSea, the only writing under either of the bridges is "Made in Paris". I don't see a number.
Thanks PatSea!! I really wasn't sure of the age of these, but was just assuming around the 1880-1900 period.
Thanks for the Loves everyone!!
