Width is approximately 17-3/4" and height is approximately 30". No clear history, other than we received it from some relatives who received it from some other relatives. My online search for similar folding rocking chairs suggests it might have been made in the late 1800's. Antique civil war chair or sewing chair. The fabric does not seem to be original -- there are some small upholstery holes on the top of the chair. Any info. about this type of folding rocking chair is welcome.
