Guardian & Alert Soda Bi-Carbonate Fire Extinguishers

Here's my nice pair of old fire extinguishers, with the original glass soda bottles intact and all the internal fittings, which apparently is getting harder to find as complete units these days.

They were a Buy & Sell find at $80 for the pair - originally salvaged by a retired firefighter in Vancouver, Canada and handed down to his son; who's now retired himself and was downsizing his vintage/antique collection.

Other than quite a bit of soda-staining (which will polish out) these two items are in remarkably good condition with only a couple of very minor dents on each one. The rubber hoses are still flexible and all the solder joints in excellent condition.

I've watched some YouTube videos of these things being professionally polished and they certainly do look amazing with the bright brass and copper mirror finish. I'm thinking about getting one polished and leaving the other with the time-aged patina.
