Great pic! You don't often see pics of the pre-D model before the bubble canopy. LUV it! Keep em coming! As the tech/mechanic, I am supposed to fly on test flights after I work on a plane. I tell the pilots that I can't do that as I promised my mother that I would never fly in anything I worked on. She was a wise woman! Still worries me when I fly commercial & think, people like me keep these things in the air! Scary!
Thanks!! When I was in the Air Force I used to work on the avionics on the F-4C and F4-D Phantom fighters. Once I got out, I worked on civilian aircraft and always had to test fly after repairing. I guess I got lucky all those years !!
Mrdaveo7, just tell them that you promised your mother that you would never fly in anything you worked on. It's worked for me for many yrs.!
LOL... thanks for advice!!!
Other policies that work well for me. I require payment before test flights & sign logbooks off after test flights.
Every pix of any P-51 makes my heart jump a beat! those were and are awesome planes even those that still had the less good Allison engines in them. i love this pix!
