Juanita's great posts reminded me that I purchased a Rushton doll shortly before Christmas last year. So I dug him out of the closet. He's a little dirtier and more moth damaged than I recall. But I believe this is what Santa really looks like. Really.
I'm guessing this Jolly Old Elf is from the 50's, maybe 60's. And he's reminding me that I have some shopping to do!

Ahh there he is! I might have one of these guys up in the attic. I'll have to go up and check some boxes. Wake up ole St. Nick from his long nap. I hope he hasn't melted up there :>)
Great Rushton Santa. Bid on a couple but not high enough.
Keep trying fortapache. These come up often especially in December. I picked this one up for $30 delivered, which is probably a little high considering condition. Nice to have for display around the holidays.
aw...snap, now I feel compelled to post my Rushton this weekend after digging him out for the holidays.
