Okay, so it's just a replica but I suppose being a 40-year-old vintage replica makes it worth something. It's actually a very well-built candlestick phone from the early 1970s; it has a good weight to it and overall seems to be of good quality.
I purchased it for the low price of $10 because the seller said it didn't work. When I plugged it into my phone line it worked just fine, so I'm guessing they were using it with a line (or in an area) which didn't support pulse dialing.
To the uninitiated it looks like the real thing - even I was convinced until I purchased my first authentic candlestick phone, but even so I'm more than happy to actually be able to use this one when it eventually sits on my library table (see other posting) whereas the authentic phone is for display only.
Sorry for the dark photos.
