I was at a rummage sale and ca,e upon this sweet old lady who insisted I buy her whole set of China that was her mothers. She said it was 100.00 U.S. dollars. I was talked into her sweetness of having nobody to pass it down to. I would like to know how old it is. I love the imaginary dinners this must have been used at.

Looks like WH Grindley - how many pieces were in the set?

I just recently posted about the Chelsea set that I inherited and it is very similar to your pattern. I have seen a few examples, but they were in one color. Ours are in full color. I was told it is from 1884. I too am looking for information about this set. I am curious about the history and value. I will keep you posted if I find anything out.

It's wonderful that you found it and are enjoying it!
