My inlaws rescued this piece in the late 70's from a dump. The original finish was very dark and dry, so we treated the wood and wanted a more up to date finish, hench the new crackle finish. It has a "back splash" piece not visible in the photo, about 4 inches high in the middle with a shell carved in it. The shell is repeated at the bottom in the front. The legs are long and curved, but not lion footed. No other markings were found.
Love your owl collection :)
