Another interesting post from my friend's collection:

A couple of times Heckert and Poschinger vases were posted among Loetz vases because there is no German section. I have an even better excuse: I think that this one can match even the high-class Loetz, in shape, decor and execution.
The vase was positively identified as a Ferdinand von Poschinger product (not to be confused with the still existing Benedict von Poschinger factory). This producer shared the fate of the Loetz factory, only on a smaller scale. It was owned and headed by a glass enthusiast, who among more common products had a high-class line with artists' designs by Vienna painter Karl Schmoll von Eisenwerth or Betty Heldrich. In the same way Loetz commissioned designs from the Vienna Secession group of artists, the Poschingers were connected with the Darmstadt Artist Colony.

This vase is over 9'' tall and up to 7'' wide. It is the only such example I know of, although the Passau Museum has three with the peacock eye motif. I bought this vase in a shop outside the center of Vienna and it was not cheap. Neither the shop owner nor I knew what it was at that time, but somehow I just could not leave it there and paid the price. I have never regretted that and still really love it.
And a PS for all technically oriented people: the eye is in the middle alright, there is also one on the opposite side, and the vase was slightly turned sideways because the photographer does not like symmetry.

This is the only one of these I have ever seen. As uncommon as the Loetz ones are, I have seen more of theirs.
