I just saw this today and absolutely had to buy it. It looks like a mid 50s model but that is all i know. No markings have survived on it, and after hours of looking at pedal cars on the net gave me nothing. Please let me know if you have any information on it.
The plan is to keep it as it is, for now. The only other option is a full restoration and that won't be possible any time soon.

This is so cool! When I first saw it, I thought really early 50's if not before...Have you ever heard of "Pimp my Ride"?

My first thought was Ti-Ang or Thistle but I didn't see that body shape listed. The decal on the back is similar to that.
Based on the late 50's style fins look I would guess from that era.

Are there any markings on the tires or hub caps?

Thank you for the input :)
The inflatable tires are marked KOWALIT 8½ X 2
The rims and hubcaps are smooth and unmarked

That may help. I did not think this was an american pedal car as I have never seen one like it.
The Kowalit appears to have been a German bicycle tire company in the mid to late 1950's .
The steering wheels appears to be a baby buggy wheel.
I like the idea of leaving as is, except for maybe finding a rusted pedal car steering wheel for it.

      Thanks for posting this

A real steering wheel from that period would be an awesome touch, i agree. If i can find some old small pillow i'll put it on the seatpan for the cat, who seems to like sitting in it

      Cheers for your help :)
