Very Nice -- and Very European!!

I had something like this, see if I still have the pics (??).

Just wondering.......the Boat thing as you called it -- looks like a ?? half moon TO ME ?? (or a crescent Moon). Might it be ??

To me it looks like a crescent shaped blade with a handle, like a sickle (unless the handle is just a heap of powder that's not part of the mark). The circles under the K seem to be 3 of 6 circles arranged in a triangle or pyramid.

noob I will post pic without powder.........I believe it is part of the mark.

It's a knife for harvesting grapes ( http://www.grapeknife.com/ ), and the six circles are arranged as a stylized bunch of grapes.

The pottery started in a wine-growing region? The Greeks and Romans fermented wines in large terracotta vessels and transported wine in amphorae. There are still regions where that's the traditional practice, and there's a bit of a revival in fermenting and aging wine in terracotta.

Sorry, though, no identification of the mark.
