on the repaint! He must be one great painter, but can't find one as a 7up either. I asked for a COA. and it does have Coca Cola on the bottom. Thanks Guys and Gals. I asked for a return of funds

Here is the reply I got!
      Dear, paul,

      Hi,
This was a dealer release. It was given to the owner of a small movie theatre in downtown St. Augustine called Pot Belly's Cinema which closed this past year. I spoke to the owner, Kenny Pierce, about these because I got quite a few of them and he explained to me that he would receive these "blank" trucks from Coke as a way to get him to put his advertising on them...as a dealer sample which came from his direct sales representative for Coke.
On the bottom of the trailer, it has molded into the plastic (not a sticker), "1998 THE COCA-COLA COMPANY ALL RIGHTS RESERVED".
It is a Coke truck, but would have never been a "stock item" because it wasn't sold to the public.
I hope this information helps clear that up.
If you change your mind about getting it, please let me know today because I was just about to ship it out.
      Thank you!
      Kindly,

Hi playinblues, are they a reputable seller? Do they offer refunds if not satisfied? Hope it is real and rare, but I wouldn't know...:) I heard someone say "buy the item, not the story" a couple times here, not sure if that applies here, but there are coca cola expert members on this site :)

Collectibles at Pot Belly's Cinema to be auctioned. and yes he is a reputable dealer. They have a video on you tube where he just sold the theater in August, and had an auction. so the dealers story kinda sounds correct or he's the best scammer I have ever seen! Just put up new picture. I believe the story of it being green due to a compliance under Coca Cola.

      Not the same, but similar.

      http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-2004s-Coca-Cola-COMPANG-FACTORY-TESTING-SAMPLE-PLASTIC-GREEN-TRUCK-/231399200891?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item35e077987b

It's a nice decorative piece. Coca-Cola collectors tend to like earlier trucks showing the logo and other related graphic elements.
