This was a whimsical purchase at a yard sale for 25 cents! I had never seen anything like it before and since it fit in with my Victorian/Edwardian collection criteria I had to buy it.
The detail on the tiny little shade is amazing and with the bejeweled tassels it really does have an authentic Victorian flare. It measures 5" wide (at the widest point) and 5.25" tall (including tassels), and uses the same kind of light bulb as those used in older outdoor Christmas light strings.
It is made in China and has a sticker on it indicating a manufacturing date of only December 2002, but if we ignore all that and pretend it's a 100-year old antique using an Edison miniature light bulb then it's awesome and blends into my collection quite nicely!
