OK ...so we bought this house that was built in 1947. Many original features still exist inc woodwork, doors, windows, etc. This dining room light is puzzling to me. It appears to be original to the house, has original wiring and sockets. The shade seems to be glass, but it isnt clean like a milk glass, more pearlized looking. Anyone with any input or info is greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Is it Alcacite (maybe manufactured by Aladdin Lamp Co)? They made many table lamps you might be familiar with of that vintage, but apparently made ceiling fixture shades, too? Search ebay under alcacite + ceiling fixture, there's at least one!
