I was on operation Herrick 12 in 2010 and my section and platoon exploited a Taliban strong hold where I came across a flag which we captured. It is now in my possession and on the flag is scribed "Taliban Afghanistan" in Arabic.
I was wondering what the value, apart from sentimental it may hold and if so who and where may want it.

Militaria collectors are actively pursuing items from both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Recommend that you document the flag (signed letter describing its acquisition) and store the flag with the documentation. A photo of the item in theater will add considerably to desirability as it looks to be easily copied.
