This was a impulse buy, I know nothing about it, there are no marks,I did test the gold, it was 14ct or more. The stones are Turquoise and it's a large pendant 7cm long and 5.5 cm at its widest point and weighs 8 grams.
It has a rustic feel, and to my eye as been handmade. I would really like to to know more about it, so feel free to comment. Many thanks for looking
I've been to my local Jeweller in the UK. He told me that the pendant is gold and probably made in India, he said it was very difficult to date this piece. He said looking at the Turquoise, most of the stones looked green which means they are porous, which gives it some age.
Many thanks

The problem with dating this type of Jewellery, is the work they do today as been past down for many generations. Many of the Turquoise stones in this piece are discoloured which means it does have age. I do love it.
It's gorgeous... Right up my obsession with yellow gold and Turquoise
Many thanks DrFluffy for lovely comment and love.

Nice piece!
I've never tested gold or silver myself, what do you need and how do you do it?
You can buy Gold , Silver and Platinum testing kits, there is also a scratch board. You scratch some of the metal from whatever jewellery you want to test onto the board then you put on the solution acid, which is 22ct, 18ct, 14ct and 10ct, . From there you try and work out what type of Gold you have. It takes experience and patients to work out what type of Gold you have. I have never used the Platinum and Silver solutions. You can buy the kit from ebay, I hope I've answered your question.
