i have been gien this, i would just like some help to find out what it is and made from, its dark wood and extremely heavy. it has ds takeye snr 8 on the side of what i can make out, please help

it has takeye on the side of it, not sure what this means
Takeya is a Japanese first name. Could it be an a instead of an e on the end?
