    This little gem was given to me by a close friend who's father collected "airplane bottles" or shot bottles. It is still sealed and full of Brandy but judging by the lead seal around the spout I would not drink this. I am just trying to narrow down the age of it, based on a few things I believe it is pre-1920's (post 1904)
    -The font and printing of the text
    -The type of paper
    -The bottle showing sings of being hand made (the mark on the bottom where someone would have blown the glass and then sealed it
    - Lead sealing the bottle
    -The last trademark stamp being 1904

    other than that I am unsure of its history. I just hope to narrow down a possible year. Even the paper seal is still in tact which is pretty amazing to me. The maker is Fernando A de Terry

      You cannot date this based on the trademark date;
      - commercial aviation really did not "get off the ground" until after WWII (late 40's) - the red tax stamp over the top was used from 1945 to about 1973 (you can date that more precisely by the series number which is printed to the bottom right of the eagles foot)
      - lack of a zip code on the importers address makes it pre-1963
      - Briones & Co. Importers was in business at 85 Pearl Street from the 1950's until into the late 1970's - The building is currently the "Stone Street Tavern"
      - do not open it, it has more value sealed with tax stamp intact
