As a teenager I salvaged this old wooden butter mold from my maternal grandparent's farm shed. I've had it for over 40 years hauling it around from move to move and it's held up fairly well although the joints and nails are getting a bit loose.
These are still about as common finds today as sad irons but I thought it would be fun to post it anyway. It could probably still be used to make a pound of butter but I'm not about to try!
The box measures 3" wide x 5-3/8" long x 4-3/8" high. The top piece with the hole is 6.5" long.
