A pair of 1970's CELEBRITY JEWELRY (Corporation) cuff links with the matching Tie Clip. These were my Dads. Celebrity Jewelry ( Costume Jewelry for Men & Women) was done via Home Parties - Much the same as Tupperware was done. Topaz color of Jewel to them as my Dad birthday was in November. They have a Gold-tone mesh band to them also. Marked on the back.

Striking, and gaudy at the same time. VERY 1970's.......LOL.

I know this was early 1970's era as I recall him wearing them when he was in Good Health. He got sick in 1975 and passed away in 1977. So I would date these from around 1972 or 1973 era....roughly.

I kept them in Memory of my Dad.....

Absolutely awesome set. I would wear those with pride. Beautiful story about your Dad. It was because of my Dad that I started collecting them back in 1984.

They are definitely part of the over-the-top ostentatious 70's. Wrap around links are my absolute favorites. I have several pairs from that era, and my first ever pair was a wrap around piece that I stole from my Dad's jewelry box. :)

Here is a link to my story with pics of my similarly obnoxious links:http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/140737-my-very-first-pair-of-cufflinks-i-acqui

@MisterEsoteric - Thank you for your comment there. I can tell the passion in your post!! Yes, the mesh wrap around on Cufflinks always just set them off a bit more. They would catch you eye. I agree there was nothing better in those day than A SHARP DRESSED MAN.

As a collector, I am sure you will love this song for your collection. That is the Perfect song for you..... PLUS gotta watch the drummer....LOL
