Loetz Orange Aeolus, PN II-2/595, ca. 1902

It's been the week for "festoons" :)

This is my first Aeolus - Orange ground with evenly spaced rows of silver festoons. About 6.5" tall, fire polished rim, ground and polished pontil - unsigned. Nice pink/purple iridescence.

Aeolus was introduced in 1902, and comes in orange and camellia-red. There is a rare variation of this decor in creta green that goes by another name - Antigon.
