Found this super fragile little 6" perfume bottle at Salvation yesterday. Made of the palest pink eggshell type glass with a flame stopper. It feels quite sturdy despite it's thinness. The gold banding on it almost feels like thin applied metal. The tiny stopper has been secured by melting wax into the neck. It was a bit thick around the rim so I carefully cleaned most of it off with a toothpick. Don't want to heat it to remove it though. It's fine the way it is. These seem to be quite common in an abundance of colors, shapes, and decor. Same stoppers and banding with different bodies, but no clue as to the maker. -Mike-
I believe these bottles are made in Egypt but I have no idea of the company.
They are always very fine and delicate...almost look lamp made.
Thanks Karen :) Now that I think about it I did see a little perfume bottle in the jewelry case at Volunteer's. I did look at it but didn't buy it. It had a Egypt label on the bottom as you said. A bit more ornate than this one though. I should have bought it for the 3 dollars it was priced. I only paid a quarter for this one !
I love it!!
