Hi, i've some chinese porcelain, which I've tried to identify the marks in this tea service, but i've been unable to find them. Does anyone know what they are?
All i know is that's very beautiful, and my it's in my family for at least eighty years.
    Hope you like it.

      Hello Jim,
      thank you for that information!
      For info:
The set is at least 90 years old, if not already 100+...
      and very thin fine quality.
Thank you again for your information
      Best regards

Hello, Based off of readings from multiple sources I cannot come up with an exact date, but rather how the pieces could be.
It is definitely a pre-1891 model since if it was after 1891, the country of manufacture would be on it. There are geisha's on the side of the pieces, like the earlier response said, meaning it was made in Japan before Japan became westernized. (which was in 1853) but could even be pre-1800s since it appears that the words on the bottom are handwritten. Ill send a picture of the markings to someone I know who can speak Chinese and Japanese and will post an update soon.
