    katherines…
    (247 items)

It was so pretty I had to bring it home, even though one of the arms appears to have a break or crack (I can feel it but can't see it), which isn't surprising considering how delicately the arms are constructed. Love the colors, which show up better in the last photos where it is upside down. I didn't measure but about the size of a candy dish, maybe 6 or 7 inches across. Any information appreciated, thanks for looking!

Antiquerose solved the mystery: LAVORAZIONE ARTE MURANO ITALY

Also solved another mystery, I have a yellow glass bowl with the same unusual fins, may be made by the same manufacturer.

    Thanks, antiquerose!!!

It would have had a label on it for: LAVORAZIONE ARTE MURANO ITALY

There are some concerns IF it is actually made in Italy, or made in the *Style of Murano glass from Italy*.

      Some reading here:

I had a piece that I gave away as I do not collect it. I (personally) like the heavier thicker old real Murano glass.

Collect what you like, and enjoy! That is all that matters!

Thanks for that information, PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, good to know.

Thank you, antiquerose, read all the articles attached in the link, interesting to know. I own one piece of Murano, or at least I think it's Murano as I found the same item on a Murano site. Have no idea how I came into it, may have belonged to my grandmother or mother. They both smoked and had a lot of ashtrays around the house.

Oh! Antiquerose, I just realized I have another piece of glass that has those unusual fins on the side, could be the same manufacturer. Two mysteries solved at once!

Thanks very much, very very helpful.

Thanks CindB, yes, I love the marbling of the color, and the pink color itself, and of course the shape of the glass, all so lovely together. :)
