Doubt you can beat this for UG-LY! Been in the closet since given to me for my birthday. Hung it on the gallery because that hurricane broke my Moulin Rouge advertising mirror. It's scaring my sugar birds & think it has to go back in the closet! Don't see a category for Ug-ly.

      I don't think it's ugly! I like it, it's interesting :)
    2. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Agh, please don't tell you 2 are friends! Knew I should have covered the signature! She has been after me for yrs & when she found out it was my B'day, did this in about an hour. Actually, she has sold some art but everybody hates this one. Hope you aren't going to get this back to her! I may have to reconsider as I will probably need somebody to push my wheelchair & change my diapers one day. Knew I should have covered her name! Please don't tell me CW is turning into a gossip column!
    3. aghcollect aghcollect, 10 years ago
No blunder, not friends - she is a "known artist" so her bio is on the internet. I have no opinion on the piece other than it is "not ugly".

Hey guys, keep this down. Really should have covered the name I know, - now. Didn't think anybody would have heard of her. Please don't get me in trouble! OK! I have always considered her an unknown. I know a lot of artists here as I've framed & made easels etc. for many.
    6. Alan2310 Alan2310, 10 years ago
      Agree with aghcollect
    7. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
But it scares my sugar birds!
    8. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Agh, sorry, but I'm deleting your comment for obvious reasons. Don't need trouble in my backyard.
    9. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Guess I lost the contest?! LOL. By the way, her name is pronounced Luchia.
    10. mikelv85 mikelv85, 10 years ago
I would say the face is what lets it down. She looks like a bug crawled up her back while posing....lol
    11. ho2cultcha ho2cultcha, 10 years ago
not bad but she does look like she's wondering when the hell she can put that thing down!
    12. kyratango kyratango, 10 years ago
Lol! Of course I googled for Trifon images... And then for Trifan! Try it, it's amazing, don't know which I prefer, :-D

Roy, I didn't see a painting by her there & didn't expect to. See a number of Sir Roland Richardson & his paintings of flamboyants. He & his wife are real good friends & a lot of my work is in his shops.

    16. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Sean, I'm really worried about you! LOL! Reminds me of a teacher in high school that none of us could imagine having nipples. That lump in her left breast should really be checked out! LOL! I might add, that I don't think this is a self potrait.

Sean note, that in #16, I say, "I don't think ----". When did you last have an eye exam? My sugar birds are starving since I hung it on the gallery! LOL! The little freeloading buggers need to get a job anyway & buy their own sugar! LOL! Guess I must be getting well.

Okay Julie the colors are nice!
    29. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Thank you eye4. One of the frames I made & like. Laminated S. Amer. red wood sandwiching purplehart. Plastic Pops!! Wash yo mouth out with Cutty Sark! And Pops, my sugar birds may thank you soon for your vote. Guess I could turn it around & hang a Xmas wreath on that side!
    30. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Sorry Jewels & Pops, I don't even like dark meat on turkey. Oh, y'all mean the other colours! LOL!
    31. pops52 pops52, 10 years ago
That would work! Just kidding about the frame, I knew it was laminated South American red wood sandwiching purplehart.
    32. Jewels Jewels, 10 years ago

      Funny Julie!
    35. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Eye4, luv your #29. Just now caught it & agree. Sorry, I'm on 15 min. delay tonite. Still don't know where I stand in this contest with Ho2? Think I'm gaining ground though! Both, her #1 pic & my entry need a bra! Don't remember asking a girl to put on a bra before coming to bed! Did cross my mind with a few though. LMAO! Yeah, I'm getting well! But not banned yet!
    36. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Sure you did Pops & Jewels, definitely missing some important details. No toes! LOL!
    37. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Eye4, the mirror goes on the ceiling! Hey guys, some people have to work in the morning! Not me, but I'm sure somebody has to! LOL!
    38. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
W/P, I can understand accidentally hitting a "like", but worry about those that hit "love". maybe they are sympathy votes?
    39. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Shows that you have an eye for fugly, eye4, but I still worry about you the most.

    45. kyratango kyratango, 10 years ago
Think it was made to be hung upside down! The eyes are less strange this way, and I had to love it again ;-P
    46. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Agreed! LOL. Ho2, you're way ahead in LOVES so I'm winning. Ready to concede that I win in the "fugly" contest? No runoffs! LOL
Please! Nobody else give a LOVE!!
    47. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
You have a bad attitude kyra! Here's the idea: the less loves I get, the closer I am to winning against Ho2! This must be a 1st? A poster not wanting LOVES!!! LOL!
    48. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Hey Ho2, I never said I would run a fair poll! Maybe I should have been a politician! LOL!
    49. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Sa wha, eye4?!! Doesn't look like enough room for a 4th pic! Of course the wall is behind it! Admit that it would be better if the wall was in front of it! Tried a linen cloth over it so it didn't scare my sugar birds, but it left an image on the "shroud" & don't want pilgrimages coming here. LOL!
    50. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Eye4, are you serious? People get that lazy? My posting of the "CORDON ROUGE" I posted was in the same place before that last hurricane hit. (See on my profile). I'm not going out there at nite to take pics, Up/dn loading & editing for such a ridiculous idea. It's a wooden frame on a fully painted wall!
    51. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
OK eye4!! Keep your loves to yourself! There's the blud-clot wall! Satisfied?

Roy, you really are a sick puppy, but reminded me that I still have over a pound of commercial grade brownies in the fridge. Now I have plans for Xmas! Only 2 more shop-lifting days left before Christmas! (Local expression).
And yes everybody, we do "have" Xmas in the tropics & markets even sell Xmas trees, even though we don't have any idea what that has to do with it. We haven't figured out the relation of snow, sleighs with bells etc. either since the original scene was in a climate like ours.
    54. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Thanks eye4 & same to you. Jacky & I are at odds again but Roy gave me the idea for a really happy holiday! LMAO!!!
    55. trunkman trunkman, 10 years ago
Does it have anything to do with a Dicken's beverage drink????
    56. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
No, but Jacky has the flu I passed on to her & the coughing does the magic during "the act"! I may start hanging out around TB wards! LOL! For the innocent, ck out commercials for Dicken's Cider on U-tube. Hilarious!! May try one now.

    59. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 10 years ago
Ho2 was a graceful loser in this contest & I admire that quality. Wait a minute! I have the ugliest & I'm the winner?! I'm going to have to sleep on that concept, but it looks like Ho2 has out smarted me again! LOL!!
