This is an older B.W.Raymond Elgin that has some issues. I really don't know the age. 'This one has 19 Jewels with Elgin Ill on the inside and I cannot make out what is on the back cover. I believe the Number is 1030263 ( or 283 maybe).

Thank You Dave, I really do appreciate all the information !! I am thinking about having a watch shop to repair it to Pristine condition. What do You think about it ? Should I or Not ??
Probably needs to be serviced (cleaning, oiling and adjustment) might as well have a new mainspring installed, top it off with a new crystal. Probably a couple hundred dollars unless you know somebody!
I forgot to mention, to service a watch properly, it has to be completely disassembled before the cleaning. All parts inspected (worn parts replaced) before it's reassembled. Thus the hefty fee.
I agree with pops52. I'm not sure if it is just the crystal that is damaged or if there is damage to the dial also. If so, you might be able to find someone to repair the dial also.

What a beautiful example of Elgin craftsmanship!! I've actually sent mine off to be repaired and restored. It's going to cost a minimum of $100. But, it's part of my family history and I feel it's goining to be worth every penny! Thanks for sharing musikchoo!!
