    Andy's post on this subject:

In this post Warren gave a very good short overview of the Elisabeth / Pallme-Koenig factory, so it is not necessary to repeat it:

What I would like to point out here is a relatively clear division of their Art Nouveau production in two groups: one can be tentatively called expressionist, with wild free forms and very dark colors and the other late impressionist, tender in colors and traditional in shapes. There are also a few decors in between, but these two groups cover about 90 percent of their entire Art Nouveau production. Here are three examples of the "tender" decors. The bowl is opal white glass with applied red decoration, feathered and papillon-like, with an iridescent layer both on the outside and the inside. One vase is a mother-of-pearl papillon on spreading pink transparent ground, finished with Cephalonia-like matte green design. The other is cased glass, with a pink layer over the white layer on the inside and the red and green threading from the outside, finished in matte iridescence. Technically very challenging. There is another point to be investigated: most descriptions of this and also any other non-Loetz glass say "around 1905", which I think is nothing more than a vague guess.
