    This batting helmet was used by Pirates star 3rd baseman Bill Madlock sometime between 1979 and 1985. It was made by ABC, American Baseball Cap, and has his # 5 on the back of the helmet.

      I have been a Bucco fan my entire life. It's great to see relics of a by-gone era when we were in actual contention. 1979 World Champs (also that was the year Pittsburgh was the City of Champions - both Pirates and Steelers). Thank you.
