I bought this without really looking at the tag/label thinking it was from US Military. I can not find ANYTHING about this manufacturer. Is this NAZI apparel? Any information would be much appreciated.
It looks identical to the vintage N-3B Snorkel Coat except for the LABEL.
Looks contemporary made in Japan for export to US and not sure why you think it is a Nazi jacket ? It was made well after WWII .
Military look a like coat but not a military issue is what I believe it to be . Just like you can buy a new Bomber Jacket today for normal wear .
There is a double lightning bolt SS that looks a lot like the SS insignia from Nazi Germany with the brand name "SQUADRON." I did not think it was from WW11; I thought it was likely 197o's or so. However, it probably is contemporary with very poor branding & marketing.
What bothers me is people that intentionally look for some kind of symbolism in anything they see and associate it to a regime that barely marked a 10 year period in history. I am also curious to why the Made in Japan label did not offend you since they committed atrocities during WWII also?
A bit much aghcollect!
Perhaps I should just burn the coat.
It seems to me that some people notice these symbols right off, and others don't. I didn't see any Nazi connection when I first looked at the label, and probably wouldn't have except that the post made me think about it. No judgments here, just making an observation. Here's a related example from recent news:
